Insane footage of a Toronto construction worker hanging on for dear life dozens of meters in the air has been uploaded online, with industry health and safety experts admitting they have never seen anything like it.

A construction worker became entangled in a tagline after hooking up a load. Hanging onto the tagline below the load, the worker was being slowly lowered back toward the ground but lost his grip about 5 meters above the ground and fell onto a pile of rebar.

Warringal Hospital - 4-man crew lifting plaster to a loading bay from the street. The dogman had signalled to stop on the radio as the load was coming down. The operator didn’t hear the signal. The load landed on the top of the loading dock and continued till the plaster was on a 45-degree angle, pointing to the ground when the sheets came free and landed on the roof below. No injuries

The Roy Hill project has been issued with a prohibition notice after another crane incident, this time involving a man cage.
SMH reported that on Tuesday last week a crane was used to lower a man cage, which “crashed” into scaffolding.
